Academic Advising
Do you have questions about program and registration planning? Are you looking forward to graduation, but have many unanswered questions? Do you wonder if you've made the right decision about what to study? Why wonder? Just ask! We have the answers to these questions and more!
Arts & Science Advising can assist with a wide range of issues from program and registration planning to applying to graduate. With over 4000 students in the Faculty of Arts & Science, we have experience with most of the situations you will encounter! If you can't find an answer, contact us right away. If you are confused or unsure about the regulations, it is best to get your questions answered earlier rather than later.
Academic Writing Centre
Are you apprehensive about writing for university level studies? Do you want to become an effective reader and writer? Are you ready to dispel misconceptions about writing? Write your story with help from the Academic Writing Centre.

The Centre provides individual consultations with trained academic writing instructors and tutors to all students at the University of Lethbridge from all disciplines. There is no charge for this instruction, and we are happy to assist students at all stages of the writing process and levels of proficiency. Our learning environment is friendly, inclusive, and scholarly. We look forward to helping you.

Native Paradigm refers to the way reality is viewed from a Native American perspective and also refers to the language used to express that view. Since colonization, Native Paradigm/worldview has been fractured. In their committed and dedicated effort to reunite students with Indigenous identity and culture within an academic setting, Blackfoot scholars, Dr. Leroy Little Bear and his life partner Amethyst First Rider, have developed Native Paradigm to articulate key components of Indigenous worldview.
Native Paradigm is way of being that encompasses both conscious and unconscious infrastructures and is based upon generations of observations, collected wisdom, and relationships with the natural world. The intention imbedded within the practices of Native Paradigm is to create an enduring harmonious relationship with oneself, community, and the cosmos no matter which indigenous community you come from. In addition, the paradigm plants the seeds of decolonization by inspiring students to share the knowledge of Indigenous Storytellers, Elders, Artists and Scientists acknowledging the inherent right to practice and articulate the wisdom of our ancestors.
The FNMI website is modelled after the teachings of Dr. Leroy Little Bear and his lifelong partner, Amethyst First Rider. Each tab speaks to key component of Native Paradigm. Imbedded in each tab are resources to help Indigenous students navigate the University system and the community.
