Jackie Rice

My current area of research focuses on an examination of how people use programming languages, and relating sociolinguistics characteristics to differences in the use of programming languages. I am interested in whether particular styles can be identified and if these styles relate to software quality; in addition, I'm interested in whether these styles affect how people perceive the quality of the software. I plan to use machine learning tools as a part of this investigation.
