After my grandfather's return from California five years later with one good sized nugget that he made into a ring for his wife, 5 more children were born, namely: Andrew Aitcheson, Thomas Mark who was my father, William Renwick, Ernest, who died at the age of 3 years, and finally Ellen Ernecia, born one year after the death of Ernest and named after him. The family obtained the rudiments of their education at the district school a mile away.
Here's how they and their families looked at the 1907 reunion - 50 years later
