| June 22, 2008 — Zhupanova River We boarded Zodiacs to negotiate the shallow and meandering Zhupanova River. Shortly after sendoff we spotted a bear with four cubs on a far hill. A series of Steller’s Sea Eagles then a closer look at another bear followed a tour of a fish factory. In the afternoon we had a talk by Bruce Loeffler on volcanoes and later Conrad Field had a presentation Pitbulls and Blubber Slugs. |
