In May 1997 a second volume of our sketchbook on George French was presented to the Fort Benton Museum in Fort Benton, Montana.
An outpost at the head of navigation on the Missouri River the original Mounties had crossed the border into the United states in 1874 to get directions and supplies after becoming lost on their journey to Fort Whoop-Up.
