Since Peter Fidler had 14 children there are many descendents across Western Canada. In fact, we discovered that one of our sketchers, Trinity Mysko from Kitscoty School was a descendent. Would you like to see her sketch?
Sketchbook II was presented to two descendents at Buckingham House (Canada) on November 7,1992. It was from this location (200 years earlier to the day) that Peter Fidler left on his historic journey across the Canadian prairies to the Rocky Mountains.
Following along his route other descendents were honoured at the Reynolds Alberta and Royal Tyrrell Museums. Yes, that's "Peter Fidler" in period costume in the centre.
