Pompey’s Pillar




		William Clark’s signature on the face of Pompey’s Pillar is the only physical evidence that remains from the expedition.
						His remarkable rock also bears historical Native American drawings, as well as the dates of hunting parties. "Pompey" was Clark's nickname for the young son of Sacagawea, the expedition party's interpreter.
