Terri Saunders
Terri was born and raised in Newfoundland where she obtained a BSW from Memorial University and shortly thereafter relocated to Alberta where she obtained an MSW from the University of Calgary in 1985. Terri has enjoyed a long career as a Clinical Social Worker and has worked throughout much of Alberta, starting in Fort McMurray and moving southward via Westlock, Edmonton, St. Albert and eventually to Lethbridge where she has now lived since 2004. Terri has worked with diverse populations and with a variety of agencies in Alberta, including government, non-profit, private and post-secondary. In Lethbridge she worked for 8 years as a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor with Lethbridge Family Services and for 8 years with the Counselling Department at the University of Lethbridge. Terri is very appreciative of the many opportunities that a university education has afforded her and wants to participate in an institution that can give back to the community the opportunities that she has been given.
Terri is currently retired from her formal Social Work career, does volunteer work with the Read-On Program of Lethbridge Public Library and enjoys spending time with her 2 delightful young grandchildren who are blessed to live in Lethbridge.
