During your Grade 12 year
- Go to university sessions at your high school
- Go to open house events you’re interested in attending
- Take advantage of early admission deadlines
- Go to Open house events
- Request your uLethbridge student ID card
- Apply to live in residence
- Discover your fall course registration dates
- Apply for scholarships before the deadline
- Register for your fall courses
- Register for and attend Ahead of the Herd, our summer orientation program that always happens the first Saturday of June!
After your Grade 12 year
- Double check degree requirements/course registration
- Apply for student loans (if applicable)
- Textbook reservation is ready
- If you’re living in housing make sure you know what is allowed and what's not before moving in by viewing the Move in Guide
- Explore your options for living off campus
- Register with the Accessible Learning Centre (if applicable)
- Register for New Student Orientation (NSO) and buy tickets for Fresh Fest
- Attend New Student Orientation!
- Pay your tuition and fees
- The ULSU has a health and dental plan you’re automatically enrolled in, if covered by another policy, you MUST opt out. However, you are still able to use the Health Centre on campus.
- Counselling Services is free to students, learn what is available now to best support your success later.
- There are academic supports such as the Writing Centre and tutors to help you stay on top of your work. Each faculty also has a support Librarian at the University Library to help you in your research and writing success.
- You can participate in the ULSU Club Rush week to see if there are any clubs or societies you want to join.
- Check out Horns Recreation to see if there are any teams or intramural activities you would like to participate in. You also have a pass to the University Fitness Centre, so explore the fitness opportunities!
First semester as a ULethbridge student

- The mid-semester grind is here; papers, midterms, projects and more will be taking up your time. uLethbridge has work and study spaces that are both drop in and available to reserve that are open late.

- Remember, if you are struggling with course material, check in with your professors during their office hours, that’s what they are there for!
- Make sure you’re checking your uLethbridge email because spring registration dates will be released and your course registration will begin this month
- Take advantage of Reading Week: Relax and get some much-needed rest and catch up on your coursework
- If you haven't already, check out Horns Recreation. Taking care of your wellness can be going to the gym, rock climbing, floating in the pool, or playing a game of dodgeball with your friends through intramurals! The best part? It's free!
- This is the end of the fall term and you’re going to write your first set of final exams. Make sure you budget time to study, sleep, eat right and take care of your physical and emotional health. Double check your exam schedule and talk to your prof if you have any questions

- Show your uLethbridge pride with one of many Bookstore items
- Make sure you stay on top of your studies! Is time management a struggle? Is the train parked at Procrastination Station? Contact the Student Success Centre for support!
- Spring Term Break is a time to catch up, relax and recoup. If you're feeling overwhelmed, remember your professors are still available. Counselling Services are here for you, too. Your WHOLE wellness is important!
- It's time to start looking for, and applying for, summer jobs! Career Bridge is the perfect place to start your search. They can help you find a job, build an awesome cover letter and resume and even practice for interviews. You can also look for work on campus.
- Last day of classes means Last Class Bash. Check out the ULSU for event and ticket information!
- Final exams are here! Make sure you budget time to study, sleep, eat right and take care of your physical and emotional health. Double-check your exam schedule and talk to your prof if you have any questions!
- If you're moving out of residence or out of a rental space for summer, be sure you leave as a great tenant!
