OKI - Faculty of Education
Image
"OKI" is more than "Hello", it acknowledges the local Indigenous culture and people, the Blackfoot-Siksikaiitsitapi. It affirms the ancestors who were the original caretakers of these lands for time immemorial; the contemporary knowledge keepers, who carry on the tradition of pommaksin - transfer of knowledge. Oki is a sign of reciprocity, respect, and welcome. Learn more about this installation here.
