University of Lethbridge welcomes women from STEM disciplines at Women in STEM Conference

The University of Lethbridge will host the Women in STEM Conference on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Science Commons Atrium. The conference aims to bring together women across all STEM disciplines at ULethbridge to showcase their work and connect with others in the field.


The event will feature poster sessions, a keynote address, a panel discussion, and family-friendly STEM activities. The conference is open to anyone involved in STEM research at ULethbridge, and all levels of education are welcome to present a poster.


Women in STEM Conference Schedule


12:30 p.m. — Welcome address by Dr. Chelsea Ekstrand, Assistant Professor, Department of Neuroscience

1 p.m. — Poster session A

1:45 p.m. — Keynote address by Dr. Alexandra Tetarenko, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics and Astronomy

2:30 p.m. — Poster session B

3:15 p.m. — Panel discussion: Early career pathways: Where are you going?

4 p.m. — Family STEM Activities hosted by Let's Talk Science
