Music at Noon Concert Series
Tuesday, Nov. 24, 12:15 to 1 p.m., online concert
If you need a little music in your life, plan to take in this free concert live from the Recital Hall featuring Chee Meng Low (saxophone), Nick Sullivan (bass trombone) and Brad Parker (piano). They’ll be presenting some fun duet music and a new composition from Malaysian composer Yii Kah Hoe.

PUBlic Professor Series — Dr. Elizabeth Galway
Thursday, Nov. 26, 7 to 9 p.m., Zoom webinar
Dr. Elizabeth Galway, an English professor, presents What’s So Childish About Children’s Stories? Exploring the Complex World of Literature for Young Readers. Galway will explore ways children’s texts engage with issues that are not just relevant to young people but also adults who influence children’s literature, including authors, illustrators and publishers. She’ll draw on her research into imperialism and nationalism in 19th century British and Canadian children’s literature and uncover some of the complexities in children’s literature.
