Hearing Loss Awareness Month — Deaf and Hear Association

The Accessibility Services Department from Hear Alberta is hosting a session to share information on how technology can support those with a hearing loss. The session is free but people are asked to register beforehand.

Undoing Border Imperialism — Harsha Walia
Thursday, May 19, 2 to 3:30 p.m., AH117, Anderson Hall
As part of her speaking tour in Lethbridge, South Asian activist Walia will speak about her work to a Women and Gender Studies class. On Wednesday, she will talk about her book, Undoing Border Imperialism, at the Lethbridge Public Library’s Theatre Gallery at 7 p.m., followed by an after-hours event at the Owl Acoustic Lounge. She will speak at Thursday’s Southern Alberta Council on Public Affairs and give a workshop, called Allyship and Organizing, at the public library Thursday evening at 7 p.m.
