WHAT: Nikka Yuko Gardens Japanese Canadian Memories Dinner Series
WHEN: Tuesday, July 18, 6 to 9 p.m.
WHERE: Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens
The second of two Dinner Series events, and in association with the Nikkei Memory Capture Project, this session focusses on how sport contributed to the post-war histories of Japanese Canadians in southern Alberta. Guests will enjoy a set menu (Koko Japanese Restaurant) followed by a panel discussion featuring: Taka Kinjo (karate), Tosh Kanashiro, Hollis Pickrell (curling), Greg Senda (judo), and Mas Shigehiro (golf).
Cost is $20 per person for dinner and discussion, $5 for those wishing to attend the panel discussion only (7:30 to 9 p.m.).
