Monday, July 15, 2024

Media are invited to interview participating Master of Education students and organizer Dr. David Slomp at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 16 in the Science Commons Atrium (Level 7)

Master of Education students at the University of Lethbridge will team up to tackle this year’s challenge centred around teacher well-being and how to structure educational systems and organizations to promote teacher well-being and student learning.

Eight teams of 10 students will spend the day devising solutions to this challenge and crafting their presentation videos, which will be judged by a panel of education experts, including an assistant deputy minister of Alberta’s Ministry of Education, Jason Schilling, Alberta Teachers’ Association president, Chad Jensen, principal of Fort Macleod’s F.P. Walshe School, and Dr. Michelle Helstein, ULethbridge provost and vice-president academic.
