NMR Core Facility
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Lab
The University of Lethbridge Nuclear Magnetic Resonance lab is located in the newly-built state-of-the-art Science Commons building. The magnet room in the facility is surrounded by glass, meaning that the NMR Facility is the single largest piece of "science on display" in Science Commons. The facility also recently added a cut-open magnet and console display.
The NMR Lab houses a cryogenic facility that consists of a liquid helium recovery system (Quantum Technology Corp.) and a liquid nitrogen production plant (Stirling Economy), which makes the facility one of a kind in North America, as it is fully self sufficient for liquid cryogens. The Facility also houses the following analytical instruments:
NMR Lab Core Facility
The NMR lab is the first established Core Facility at the University of Lethbridge providing fee-based analytical services to both internal and external NMR researchers. The NMR facility has established itself at the forefront of NMR research services. Work has been done with private sector companies, other universities and many researchers at the University of Lethbridge.
