Biography
I served for 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces. During the last five years of my career I started taking university courses. Once I retired from the military in 2010 I attended the University of Lethbridge to complete my BSc in Archaeology and Geography with a concentration in Geographic Information Science (GIS) in 2012. During the last year of my BSc I joined the Barrett-Henzi lab where I completed my MSc in Geography in 2014 and I am now currently working to finish my PhD in Biosystems and Biodiversity.
Research Interests
My current research investigates how organisms interact with their environment, with a focus on Vervet Monkeys and Baboons in South Africa. Over the next few years I will be collaborating on a project that investigates how Caribou interact with temperature inversions in the Yukon. I have also been collaborating on a 3D photogrammetry and reflectance transformation imaging (RTI) project that is working with Blackfoot cultural objects.
