I am a first year’s Master’s student studying Linguistics and Indigenous languages. My main focus is in comparing the Blackfoot language and the Mapuche language of Chile and how language learners are able to learn both languages. I have always been interested in languages, especially Indigenous languages. My favourite things to do are creative writing and working on my poetry and novel, learning Indigenous languages, embroider, sing at the top of my lungs, bake, and swim or ride my bike. The first thing I made in the Zone was a smudge box for my Indigenous research methods class, where I learned new skills and Indigenous protocols. I look forward to supporting any students in the Zone while they work on their projects!
